Browns Creek Channel – In Progress
Browns Creek is a key channel facilitating the removal of stormwater from East Lismore. However, its design has room for improvement, with a culvert and the location of telecommunications services catching debris and restricting flow.

A proposed realignment of the stormwater channel, plus the relocation of services, is now in the advanced planning stage, with the goal of reducing flash flooding at Brewster Street and expediting stormwater drainage to the Browns Creek Pump Station.
Site works are expected to begin in the latter half of 2025.
