Lismore City Council is pleased to announce completion of its East Town Drains refurbishment project, with the essential community works delivered under the Council’s Flood Restoration Portfolio.

Completed across a three-week period in February, the East Town Drains project saw the repair of a 1,400-metre open drain system, located adjacent to Wyrallah Road Public School, Lismore Thistles Soccer FC and Wade Park.
Works saw the removal of invasive coral trees and debris restricting the drain, restoring optimal flow to the section of stormwater drainage connecting Lismore open drains to Gundurimba Canal.
