Magellan Street Pump Station – In Progress

In response to the 2022 natural disaster, Magellan Street Pump Station has been approved for a significant upgrade and modernisation, which will replace the tractor-driven pump that has long served the community with two new electric pumps.

Connecting to Lismore City Council’s new fibre optic network, these remotely operated pumps will provide greater evacuation of water from the CBD during flooding events, as well as safeguard human life, by removing the need to manually operate the pump.
