Meet Jill.

Jill works in Lismore and she cares about her safety, especially when using the carparks and laneways around town. Jill wants Lismore to be safe for everyone, night and day. Jill wants Lismore’s public spaces to feel welcoming, look great, and be places where she can connect with her friends.

So Jill spoke up. And so did more than 50 other community members.

Thank you Jill! Thank you Lismore! You helped us identify two sites in Lismore’s CBD for safety improvements in our Safer Cities: Her Way project:

  • Harold Fredericks Carpark (near the Quad)
  • Pedestrian laneway between Woodlark Street and Browns Creek Carpark (near the public toilets).

Be like Jill, and have your say!   We’d love to know how you feel, and how you use the areas. Council staff will be on site at various times for another 2 weeks so you can share your valuable insights through a quick survey – look for the bright pink vests! Times are posted each Monday on the Council’s Facebook page. We’ve also been dropping in flyers to businesses throughout the CBD.
