Northern River Reuse and Repair Trail – all things circular

Creating and sustaining a circular economy has been a topic of interest among the community for some time now. As a result, there are some great initiatives across the Northern Rivers you might want to get involved with.

The Northern Rivers Reuse and Repair Trail is a website that maps and lists qualified repairers, repair cafes and shops, events selling pre-loved goods as well as repair guides and forums. The Trail helps us to keep waste and pollution out of systems and in the local economy.

Take a look at the Reuse and Repair Trail and log your own business or event at https://reusetrail.com.au/.

Get noticed on new Visit Lismore website

Council’s Destination team is currently working behind the scenes on a new Visit Lismore website to better service the needs of visitors, local businesses and to showcase the Lismore region. The new website is being built with greater functionality and features to engage more and interact with visitors and be mobile responsive.

A key feature of the new website will be its integration with the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW), the largest tourism database in Australia, a free service to promote local businesses, events and attractions. Having your business or event listed on ATDW ensures you have a presence on visitnsw.com a website that receives over 5 million unique visitors per annum. Listings in ATDW will also feed through to visitlismore.com.au once the new site is launched, providing even more opportunities to showcase your business and events both domestically and internationally.

The new Visit Lismore website is expected to go live mid-year. Any events taking place from June onwards are encouraged to load direct to ATDW. If you need help or guidance, please reach out to the Destination team at tourism@lismore.nsw.gov.au.
