Brrr, Winter is definitely here, and we’ve all felt it! The Destination and Economy team is keeping warm by planning Spring and Summer events and activations.

Want to warm up too? Think back to last Summer - were you part of the Lismore Footpath Activation Pilot last Christmas? Do you have views about business trading, promotions and activities on Lismore’s footpaths? We’d love your feedback!

We’re seeking feedback from local businesses and community stakeholders to help us evaluate this program and inform the long-term management of public footpaths across the city. 

The Lismore Footpath Activation Pilot aimed to demonstrate benefits for individual businesses, the local economy and business centre amenity, with a consistent approach that did not impede accessibility throughout our business centres. Learn more about the Pilot Program and how footpaths are currently able to be used here on our website.

To ensure our city keeps up with state and national trends we’re looking at other communities' approaches to footpath management and liaising with Council’s other teams – this will inform our evaluations and help us develop sound recommendations.
