Welcome to our May Business News

The school holidays have wrapped up for another term and finished with a burst of sunshine to brighten us all up for the coming winter months.

I’ve certainly been brightened up seeing the excellent collaboration recently between Council and local businesses across a range of projects, including:

  • Mother’s Day Giveaway Competition – we’ve partnered with Business Lismore to promote local businesses and their amazing products to celebrate mothers and carers across our community
    • we’ve purchased 9 gorgeous gift packages valued at $300 each from local businesses – read on to learn how you can go in the draw to win one of these beautiful prizes
  • Safer Cities Her Way project – Project Managers have kept relevant building owners updated on progress, designs and other impacts
  • Loving Local Gift Cards – we’ve been supporting local businesses through education, promotions and general support.

The Destination and Economy Team is also hosting two free, timely and informative workshops in May to support business growth and retention strategies:

  • Benefiting from the Northern Rivers Rail Trail – Project Update, Tourism Insights and Business Marketing Opportunities
    • Tuesday, 7 May, 7.30am-9.00am, breakfast included
  • Employee Experience: Employee Retention Strategies and Employment Law Update
    • Wednesday, 22 May, 7.30am-9.00am, breakfast included

Find all the details, and how to register, in the Lismore City Council updates section below.

Wishing all our wonderful mums across the Lismore region a relaxed and beautiful Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 12. Enjoy!
