Our economic development strategy

Innovate Lismore 2024 is a five-year economic development strategy for Lismore City and its villages.

It leverages the unique natural and commercial advantages of the region to attract professional services, infrastructure investment and development to drive jobs, growth and sustainability.

The strategy focuses on utilising Lismore's role as a regional service centre to support the growth and diversification of businesses in the area.

Lismore Regional City Action Plan 2036

The Lismore Regional City Action Plan, created in partnership with Lismore City Council, aims to improve the Northern Rivers capital as a place to live, work and play.

It includes five goals and 18 objectives, focusing on land-use planning and infrastructure delivery. More information can be found at Planning NSW.

Our Manager of Destination and Economy

Lismore City Council’s Manager of Destination and Economy is the primary point of contact for businesses and investors looking to start, relocate or expand in the Lismore area.

The Destination and Economy Team support businesses and investors with business growth, investment, employment and major infrastructure developments.

They identify key industries driving economic development, build partnerships, conduct regional marketing and promotion and plan for future growth.
