The 2025 NSW Rural Women's Gathering will be held in Lismore on Saturday, 25 October 2025. This year’s theme ‘Connect to the Heart’ – will bring women from regional, rural and remote areas of NSW together in the heart of the Northern Rivers Region, to engage with themselves, their communities and the world around them.

Attendees will be treated to a diverse range of activities and workshops, each offering new experiences and skills-building opportunities. You will also be immersed in Lismore’s arts and cultural scene, feel inspired by the stories you hear and the people you meet, plus you’ll be entertained and hosted like never before.

Here are just some of the speakers in store:

  • Shanna Whan, founder of Sober in the Country, who will share her inspiring journey of overcoming alcohol addiction and advocating for alcohol harm awareness in rural Australia.
  • Madeline West, Mother of seven, Actor, Advocate and Digital Safety Warrior will provide valuable insights on social media safety and digital wellbeing.
  • Lissie Turner, formerly known as Mel Bampton, who is a well-known media personality and advocate for social impact. She brings a wealth of experience from her time at triple j and her work in the music industry, as well as her dedication to promoting mental health and wellbeing.

The annual Gathering is a fantastic opportunity for women living in regional and remote areas of NSW to come together and connect, celebrate and learn. You will meet new people, learn new skills, visit new places and overall, have a fabulous time.
