Get ready for an unforgettable day of cricket action as some of Australia’s cricketing greats revisit Oakes Oval on Saturday, 15 February 2025. After the overwhelming success of the 2023 Legends of Cricket match, this exciting event is set to make its return to Lismore. 

Lismore Mayor Steve Krieg will once again lead the Mayor’s XI as they take on local cricket legend Adam Gilchrist’s Gilly’s XI. The match will feature some of the nation’s most celebrated cricket icons. 

Gates open at 1pm, with the action kicking off at 3pm and running through until 6pm. This Twenty20 cricket showdown is set to be a highlight of Lismore’s sporting calendar, as legendary players donate their time and talent to create a day to remember for the local community. 

Bring the family and cheer on some of Australia’s greatest cricketing legends at Oakes Oval. 

A limited number of VIP tickets are also available for purchase. These tickets allow you to catch all the action from the air-conditioned comfort of the Gordon Pavilion while enjoying complimentary food and drinks (2). Over 18 only.

Proudly presented by Alder Constructions and supported by the Commonwealth Bank and 100.9 Triple Z FM, the Sportspersons Breakfast will be held at the new Adam Gilchrist Pavilion. Enjoy a fully catered breakfast by Kaine from The Secret Chef while mingling with cricketing legends and being entertained by Lonnie Pasco.

Legends of Cricket Golf Day 

Friday, 14 February 2025 | 12:30 PM to 5:30PM 

Network with fellow local business leaders and cricket legends in a relaxed atmosphere against the stunning backdrop of Lismore’s picturesque golf course at the inaugural Legends of Cricket Golf Day. Form a team of three to play 18 holes at Lismore Workers Golf Club or take advantage of the hole partner package.
