Customer service and operations

Duty Manager GSAC

GSAC Duty Managers oversee all operational and customer service activities within the centre. They are responsible for opening and closing the facility, as well as handling customer inquiries related to gym and pool memberships, swim school, event bookings, activities, and programs. This role requires a passion for customer service and a proactive approach to problem-solving. 

Permanent part-time (minimum 30, up to 38 hours a week)

Reception GSAC

Receptionists are customer service professionals who assist Duty Managers with customer inquiries, membership administration, and swim school inquiries. They play a vital role in front-of-house operations, ensuring a positive experience for all customers in various service areas. 

Permanent part-time (minimum 12, up to 20 hours a week)

Duty Manager LMB

The Lismore Memorial Baths Duty Managers serve as the lead lifeguard and supervisor on duty for the facility. They are responsible for opening and closing the centre, handling all customer inquiries including pool memberships, swim school inquiries, kiosk service and ensuring smooth facility operations. The ideal candidates will have a proactive, customer-centred approach to daily operations. 

Seasonal part-time until 15 May 2025 (minimum 30, up to 38 hours a week)

Aquatics

Lifeguards

Pool Lifeguards adopt a customer-focused approach to ensure an enjoyable and safe aquatic environment for all users. This dynamic role involves monitoring water quality, performing general pool maintenance tasks, and addressing other facility operational requirements. We seek team members with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to safety. Successful applicants will receive training and accreditation as part of their onboarding process.

Permanent part-time (minimum 20 hours a week)

Seasonal part-time until 15 May 2025 (minimum 15, up to 20 hours a week)

Learn to Swim Instructors

Learn-to-Swim Instructors create a safe, positive, and fun learning environment for students of all ages to achieve their swimming goals. Ideal candidates will possess patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to leverage their life experiences in this exciting role. Comprehensive training and accreditation will be provided to successful applicants.

Permanent part-time (minimum 10 up to 15 hours a week)

Café, creche, cleaning and customer service

Multiple positions are available for applicants with the experience and skills to support various centre needs. The ability to work across multiple areas is highly desirable.

Switch Gym

Gym Services Officer

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Gym Services Officer to join our team at Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre and Switch 24/7 Gym. Working part time, 20 hours a week, this key position supports the Gym and Fitness Coordinator by providing leadership and direction in all aspects of gym operations and services at our Fitness Centre. Additional Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Training Opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III and Certificate IV in Fitness or equivalent Sport and Exercise Science Bachelor Degree
  • First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003) with current CPR
  • Specific Group Fitness training
  • Working with Children check
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and social media platforms.
