Rachael Beck to headline Carols in the Heart

Lismore’s cherished Christmas celebration, Carols in the Heart, returns to Oakes Oval on Sunday, 8 December 2024, from 3pm to 9pm, as part of a series of exciting festivities throughout December.
Lismore’s Christmas activities will also feature Santa’s Wonderland at the Regional Art Gallery and a new website for community event registrations, with $500 gift card prizes up for grabs.
Award-winning performer and educator Rachael Beck, one of Australia’s premier talents, will headline this year's Carols in Heart.
Known for her stunning vocal artistry and dynamic stage presence, Beck will bring her signature warmth and energy to Lismore, setting the stage for an unforgettable Christmas season.
Joining Beck on stage are beloved local talents like Luke Vassella, Rhydian, and the Residuals, with more acts to be announced. This year’s line-up has been thoughtfully curated to blend exceptional Australian talent with local artists, creating a heart-warming musical experience for all ages.
Mayor Steve Krieg highlighted the importance of such community events.
“Carols in the Heart is not just a celebration; it is a testament to the unwavering spirit of our community,” he said.
“This year’s line-up intentionally unites incredible national and local artists to bring joy into the hearts of our community and activity into the heart of our city.”
Families can look forward to various exciting activities, including face painting and an impressive selection of jumping castles.
An array of food vendors will serve diverse options, from curries and dumplings to classic treats like donuts and potato twisters, ensuring something for everyone’s taste.
The night will conclude with a breathtaking laser light show, illuminating the night sky and capturing the magic of the holiday season.
Continuing the festive spirit, Santa’s Wonderland returns to the Lismore Regional Art Gallery this year. From Wednesday, 4 December to Sunday, 22 December, it will offer photo opportunities with Santa and an elf hunt to entertain children through the CBD with prizes to be won.
‘Xmas in Lismore’ campaign also launches today, dedicated to showcasing all the magical experiences in Lismore. This includes a new Christmas website - xmasinlismore.com - that has been designed to allow local businesses to promote their festive events.
People can also register on the new website to go into the running for a $500 Loving Lismore Gift card that will be given away every week through December.
