It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and it’s time for our community to come together and celebrate the Festive Season.

The Jolly Man in Red is once again coming to town to take up residence at Santa’s Wonderland at 15 Woodlark Street.

People of all ages are invited to step into this magical Santa’s Wonderland and enjoy fun festive activities between 1 December and 23 December. Santa’s Wonderland will be open from Wednesday through to Sunday.

Bookings for photos with Santa are essential, but it’s as simple as going to www.visitlismore.com.au.

Lismore City Mayor Steve Krieg said he was once again looking forward to welcoming Santa to his Lismore Wonderland and encouraged the community to come into the CBD to enjoy the wide range of Christmas activities Council has planned for this festive season.

“I encourage everyone to visit Santa’s Wonderland, get some photos and while you are down there, do a bit of Christmas shopping and support our local businesses. I am really looking forward to seeing the CBD come alive this Christmas,” he said.

“And make sure to amp up your festive spirit and join us for Lismore Delights on Saturday, 16 and 23 December from 10am – 3pm around Lismore CBD.”

Council is presenting an exciting program celebrating our extraordinary community, drawing together renowned performing artists, creativity and culture, family fun, with unique shopping and dining around the Block.

Highlights include:

  • Tunes from local stars Hussy Hicks, Gomeroi/Maori singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Blakboi, the extraordinary Kelly Brouhaha and our very own Lismore City Concert Band.
  • Performances around the Block with the Widjabul Wia-bal Dance Group, Christmas Belles, Roundabout Theatre and the Flashbang Choir.
  • Fun activities for the family – print your own Back Lismore tee or tote with Nedlands Studio, create gifts and cards, plus get kids’ faces painted on the way to Santa’s Wonderland while hunting for elves in shop windows across the city. You can even win a prize if you find all the sneaky elves.
