Strategic purpose To help reinvigorate Lismore CBD's inner-city laneways precinct and attract more visitors

The Listening Booth was an element of the 2021 Lismore Laneways Project.

Appearing like a funky vintage phone booth, the Listening Booth is a bespoke 'activation pod' where you can hear local stories and sounds.

You can find the Listening Booth along with a Lismore Laneways Book Exchange booth on Carrington Street in Lismore's renowned laneways.

The Listening Booth brought together diverse voices of our city and rhythms of our community. As this project developed, we discovered a shifting symphony of Lismore life for your listening delight: local musicians playing heartfelt tunes, our stories and histories, home-grown ideas and recipes to savour, artists talking about their newest creations, and more.

Visitors can simply press the buttons in the Listening Booth to hear short excerpts of current audio content and scan the QR code to listen and experience more online. You can check out our introductory audio, video and information.
