Council started the development of the first of two bike projects at Nesbitt Park, South Lismore in May 2021.
The first project involved the construction of a new Mountain Bike Skills Course and was built where the existing BMX pump track was located, adjacent to the playground.
This project created a professionally designed and constructed skills course for mountain bikes. The new course was suitable for mountain bikers with beginner to intermediate skills.
Council also upgraded the BMX pump track at Nesbitt Park. The improved pump track was professionally designed and was relocated next to the mountain bike skills course. Work commenced on this project in late-2021, once a contractor was appointed. This project had been part funded by Council and the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Community Fund.
