Lismore City Council is implementing changes to waste collection services to deliver cost-efficient and sustainable operations for our community. Affected households will receive a letter from the first week of July 2024 outlining the changes to their current service and any action required.
Council carried out roadworks on a portion of O’Flynn Street in Lismore Heights.
The Council gathered feedback from the community regarding a proposal to convert a segment of O’Flynn Street, spanning from Beardow Street to New Ballina Road, into a one-way thoroughfare heading south. This change was intended to facilitate designated on-street parking, enhance drainage and promote safer travel conditions.
The roadworks encompassed a 0.4km stretch of O’Flynn Street. This particular section necessitated repair.
In conjunction with previous roadworks along O’Flynn Street in recent years, these efforts aimed to elevate traffic safety and elevate the road to meet community standards. The repair process involved excavation of the existing road foundation, compaction of new road base material and subsequent resealing.
