Operating hours:

  • Monday CLOSED
  • Tuesday 8am to 3pm
  • Wednesday CLOSED
  • Thursday 8am to 3pm
  • Friday CLOSED
  • Saturday 8am to 3pm
  • Sunday CLOSED

All Northern Rivers Waste sites are closed on public holidays.

Nimbin Transfer Station provides residents from the village and surrounding hills with a facility for recycling and waste drop-off.

There is also a small Revolve Shop where good-quality items diverted from landfill can be bought for a small fee and given another life.

The following items can be dropped off free of charge to be recycled:

  • Household batteries, mobile phones and accessories, printer cartridges and X-rays
  • Polystyrene 

There are special places to put each of these materials, so if you’re not sure just ask the resource recovery officer on duty or contact Council for more information on (02) 6625 0500.
