Resource Recovery Facility
The Resource Recovery Facility is the large open shed that you will be directed to at the weighbridge to dispose of most household waste. The back section of the shed is for mixed waste and the front section is for self-sorted waste.
Sort your load and save money!
To ensure you are charged the cheapest rates, sort your items into waste, reusable and recyclable drop-off items using the bins provided in the front self-sort section. Along with items intended for the Revolve Shop, there are many items that can be recycled for a reduced fee or free of charge, including:
- Co-mingled recyclables - paper and cardboard, hard plastic containers and bottles, glass containers and bottles, steel and aluminium cans
- Cardboard boxes only
- Builder's rubble - bricks, concrete and pavers
- Metals
- Green waste
- Polystyrene
- Oil filters
- AgVet chemical containers - steel and plastic, must be triple rinsed with lids removed
- Household problem waste in the Community Recycling Centre (below)
All vehicles are weighed on the way in and out and waste materials are charged on a weight per category basis. See our fees and charges.
Community Recycling Centre CLOSED until further notice
Due to a fire at a Cleanaway recycling facility in Sydney, Lismore City Council’s Community Recycling Centre is closed until further notice, anticipated to reopen in March.
Most NSW councils (and Community Recycling Centres) are affected by this event, meaning that all problem waste such as paints and gas bottles can’t be collected by the contractor and licencing does not allow for additional storage of these items onsite. Thank you for your patience and we request that you to hold onto your paints and other problem wastes until we can reopen.
