Celebrate Small Business Month and grow your business

Lismore City Council and Kyogle Council have partnered to deliver a program of activities for Small Business Month with expert business consultants Lilly Choi-Lee and Trevor Lee of TravConsult.

The consultants will work with businesses during October to discuss future business growth and development opportunities.

“We are hosting a free breakfast in Lismore and a dinner in Kyogle where people can hear stories from local business owners and gain valuable insights from these experts on how small changes and embracing technology can significantly grow your business,” Lismore City Council Economic Development Manager Tina Irish said.

“During Small Business Month we want to support and encourage our businesses with ideas and tools that will help them thrive in a modern marketplace. This is a fantastic opportunity get valuable advice for free.”

The following workshops are being held during Small Business Month:

Small Business Insights
Free workshop – Wednesday, 10 October, Lismore City Hall, 7.15am-9am
This breakfast event will provide guests with an opportunity to learn from Lilly and Trevor’s international experience in helping clients create unforgettable service experiences as well as gain insight into learnings from small business leaders Jamie Bates, the owner/operator of Heart Bookkeeping, Lismore Shopping Square marketing manager Hannah Ivan and Nick Muller, owner/operator of Republic of Coffee.

Small Business Insights provides a platform for collaborative discussion around digital economy opportunities including cloud-based software, e-commerce and social media.

Lightbulb Moments
 Free workshop – Tuesday, 9 October, Kyogle Bowling Club, 5.30pm-7.30pm 
This dinner event will provide guests with valuable insights into opportunities for tourism, retail and lifestyle businesses to embrace change in order to grow their markets, collaborate effectively and improve customer experiences. These are the inspiring ideas – the ‘lightbulb moments’ – that can help people innovate to achieve success.
