Stay away from flood affected areas

Wednesday, 02 March

It is crucial for your own safety and others that no one enters a flood affected area.

The tops of drain manholes have been lifted by flood waters, which means streets with water over them are NOT safe to walk through. For your own safety stay away.

Due to the size of the flood, many buildings may be structurally unsound.

We understand people want to return to their homes and businesses, but we MUST all wait until the SES gives the ALL CLEAR.

Homes and business premises must be inspected by authorities before you return.

There is no sewage in town and no water in parts of the flood-affected areas.

Please CONSERVE water.

This is no normal flood event, and is region wide. This means Emergency Services are extremely stretched.

Please be patience and for your own safety, DO NOT enter flood affected areas.
