Pollution monitoring data for our Environmental Protection Licences

With the introduction of the Protection of the Environment Legislation Amendment Act 2011 (POELA Act), the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) requires all holders of Environment Protection Licences to make publicly available pollution monitoring data.

Council's landfill and recycling centre, quarry sites and sewerage treatment plants are all holders of these licences and the relevant information is provided below:

Monitoring Results

These sites are tested for pollutants as mandated by the EPA under requirements specific to each licence.

When a result is recorded that is over the licensee’s prescribed limit, an explanation of why the excess occurred is required to complement the data. Data highlighted in yellow refers to qualities found over licence limit. The documents are available for download and contains data since March 2012 as well as any notes on over limits.

The EPA requires EPA licensee holders to prepare pollution incident response management plans for each of their licensed activities and to have these plans available to the public. Lismore City Council has Pollution Incident Response Management Plans available for each EPA licensed site.
