Description: This new road will be created within the subdivision of Lot 22 DP 861639 also known as 41 Dunromin Drive, Modanville. The road is a cul-de-sac that extends west of Dunromin Drive.
Name Origin: Modanville is home of the Birdwing Butterfly.
Proposed lease over Crown Community Land under Section 47A Local Government Act 1993
Notice is given that Lismore City Council, as Crown Land Manager of Stocks Park Reserve (R85227), situated at 1 Bounty Street, Lismore propose to issue a lease over the commercial kitchen and licence over adjoining common parts of the Lismore City Hall to Northern Rivers Performing Arts Incorporated (NORPA).

The proposed lease and licence will enable NORPA to use/hire parts of the Lismore City Hall as a restaurant and/or refreshment kiosk and other ancillary uses as approved by the Council. The proposed lease and licence will be for a term not exceeding four (4) years, ten (10) months (to coincide with the expiry date of the Cultural Alliance Agreement between Council and NORPA for the management of City Hall.

PROPOSED ROAD CLOSURE
Notice is given that under Section 38B of the Roads Act 1993 Council proposes to close a narrow strip of Council public road reserve on Nimbin Road, Goolmangar adjoining 956 Nimbin Road, Goolmangar described as Lot 1, DP594727 (plan available upon request).
Upon closure of the road, Council intends to give the land as compensation under Section 44 of the Roads Act 1993 for land acquired from the adjoining property for road purposes. This proposal flows from a road re-alignment.

Proposed Classification of Public Land at 109 Pineapple Road, Goonellabah
Lismore City Council are in the process of acquiring a small parcel of land for a sewage pump station, the land will be known as 109 Pineapple Road, Goonellabah (proposed Lot 3 in the registered plan of subdivision of Lot 2 DP 1263104), highlighted yellow on the plan below. Pursuant to Sections 31 and 34 of the Local Government Act 1993, Council hereby gives public notice of its intention to classify the subject land as ‘operational’.

Geographical Names Act 1966
Notice of Proposal to Amend Locality Boundaries in the Lismore Local Government Area
The Geographical Names Board is seeking public comment on a proposal from Lismore City Council to amend an address locality boundary in its Local Government Area.
The proposal is to amend the existing boundaries of Mcleans Ridges and Boat Harbour.
Details of this proposal, including map GNB3628-3-A showing the proposed boundary amendment, may be viewed and submissions lodged on the Geographical Names Board website at www.gnb.nsw.gov.au from 5 May 2020 to 5 June 2020.

Public Exhibition of Proposal to Re-establish Alcohol-free Zone(s)
Lismore and Nimbin Village
In accordance with Section 644A of the Local Government Act 1993 notice is hereby given of Council’s draft proposal to re-establish alcohol-free zones within Lismore and Nimbin Village. The draft proposal is to re-establish existing alcohol-free zones for a further period of four (4) years.
The proposal is on public exhibition from 4 May to 18 May 2020. A copy of the mapped zones is available to view in the Document Library on this page.

Vacant Land – Seeking Expressions of Interest
Albert Park Reserve at 338 Keen Street, East Lismore

Lismore City Council, as appointed Crown Land Manager for Albert Park Reserve (R89503), are seeking expressions of interest for use of the vacant land fronting Keen Street on the northern side of the basketball stadium (south of Bernstein Street). The land has been used for grazing in the past, however, Council are willing to consider alternative uses or use of only part of the area.
The land is partially fenced along Keen Street and Bernstein Street (shown blue on the image), however would require internal fencing to be undertaken at the applicant’s cost to keep stock east of the Wilson Walking Track (indicative fencing required shown red on the image). The applicant will also be responsible for arranging their own water connection at a cost of approximately $1900. Other terms and conditions will apply.
The grazing licence will be limited to 12 months under section 2.20 of the Crown Land Management Act 2016, however, there is the potential to renew each year.
There are no cattle yards on the land. You are encouraged to inspect the site before making an application to Council to ensure it is suitable for your needs.
