Know where to find the right information during an emergency: 

  • For immediate assistance from storm, wind or hail, contact the NSW SES on 132 500.
  • If a tree is threatening the safety of property or people – contact the NSW SES on 132 500.
  • For reporting fallen trees on local roads – contact Lismore City Council on 02 6625 0500.  
  • For immediate assistance from significant roof leaks or flash flooding that may inundate your home – contact the NSW SES on 132 500.  
  • For information on road closures – go to livetraffic.com.
  • For weather updates - go to bom.gov.au.
  • For information on blackouts or power restoration, contact Essential Energy or call 132 080.
  • In life-threatening emergencies – call (triple zero) 000.  
  • Listen to local radio stations and monitor emergency services' Facebook pages to stay updated with emergency announcements.
